The short story of Harrison Bergeron is a very interesting
story. We get a view into a society that everybody is equal. This equality doesn’t
seem equal, but to our characters it is what they have. Which poses the level 3
question, “What is Equality.” This can be interpreted in many ways and I am not
the sort of person to interpret this text. You need to be an English major or a
scholar of the future, but let’s face it, future scholars aren’t a thing and don’t
happen to have an English major in my house. Moving on, there are other
questions about this text that I would love to crack down on.
There are many questions to pose about this text and the
level 2 question I have for you, ha rhyming, is if your where in this position
would you over through your government as Harrison tried to do? Sorry readers,
spoilers! Anyway I honestly think I would try but I would get shot down by the
head mistress, reference!!! The next level one question I have is would it be
possible for the government to keep coming up with devices that weigh you down
for these overly unhindered people. I don’t know maybe you could answer this
for me comments!! All and all, I think this is a short story that has a lot of
classroom potential and is actually good to read. I would recommend it to
anyone who hasn’t read it, but most of you have.
