The Mansion that held me for Ransom

I stepped into the house,
I was a quiet as a mouse.
This was a hunted place,
and I carried my mace.
I walked through the mansion,
that held my life for ransom.

The house was cold,
then the house was hot.
It is like the respiratory system of an asthmatic runner.
I wanted to flee for freedom and never return,
but my days were numbered,
so I decided to slumber
in the mansion, that held my life for ransom.
